EGTC study finished

European grouping of territorial cooperation (EGTC) are legal entities set up to facilitate cross-border, transnational or interregional cooperation in the European Union. Regional and local authorities can set up groupings with a legal personality to deliver joint services. EGTCs can implement programmes co-financed by the EU or any other cross-border cooperation project. The study “European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation as an Instrument for Promotion and Improvement of Territorial Cooperation in Europe” for the European Parliament analysed the experiences of case study regions with the EGTC and provided recommendations for its development. Erich Dallhammer, Bernd Schuh und Max Kintisch were part of the international project team. The study can be downloaded from the website of the European Parliament.
